Plywood is an essential material in our furniture production.
Plywood is a processed wood product that retains all the benefits of natural wood, while surpassing solid wood in several critical aspects.
Today, plywood is widely used not only in furniture but also in construction and vehicle manufacturing, where strength and reliability are paramount.
Plywood is a multi-layered material composed of thin sheets of solid wood, arranged so that the wood fibers of each layer are perpendicular to those of the adjacent layers. This structure ensures uniform strength in all directions, a key advantage over solid wood, which is fibrous and susceptible to cracking along the grain.
Additionally, plywood is five times stronger than solid wood in the transverse direction. This makes it an outstanding choice among wood products when durability is required. Beyond its strength and reliability, plywood offers a natural wood appearance and other qualities that make it highly valued.
We use Spartan plywood, which is ideally suited for outdoor use. The plywood layers are bonded with TSCA-Certified adhesive, suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
SPARTANPLY machines and cuts as effectively as Baltic Birch plywood. Its thickness tolerance is even stricter than GOST standards for Baltic Birch, ensuring high precision. Unlike other plywood types, SPARTANPLY faces and backs are patch-free. The core is made from 100% Hevea veneers, sourced from sustainably grown Hevea/Rubberwood trees, which are first tapped for natural rubber before being processed into veneers.
The face and back veneer of Spartan plywood is White Birch, providing a refined and consistent appearance.

NATURAL, PROTECTIVE FINISHES FOR LASTING BEAUTY AND DURABILITY
To protect against ultraviolet radiation and moisture, as well as for decorative purposes, we use a specialized finish based on Allbäck linseed oil wax.
Allbäck Linseed Oil Wax is crafted from purified linseed oil, beeswax, and natural pigments, making it a highly versatile finish suitable for conditioning and protecting all absorbent surfaces. It can be applied to wood, concrete, brick, slate, furniture, floors, matte painted surfaces, and more. You can even create custom shades by mixing different colors.
This finish provides an elegant, water-repellent, silky-matte surface.
